Island Health names Banner Health executive Paul Vachek as CFO
Anacortes, Wash.-based Island Health has named Paul Vachek as its new chief financial officer, according to a July 30 news release reported by Becker's Hospital Review.

Vachek joins Island Health from Phoenix-based Banner Health, where he served as CFO for several facilities, including Banner Desert Medical Center, Banner Children's Medical Center, and Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Arizona.
He brings more than two decades of healthcare finance leadership experience, with a track record of strengthening hospital financial performance through margin turnarounds, capital expansion initiatives, and revenue-cycle enhancements, according to the release.
