Allegheny Health Network Names Duke Rupert President of AHN Beaver, Sewickley Hospitals
Allegheny Health Network (AHN) on Aug. 10, 2026, announced the appointment of Duke Rupert as president of AHN Beaver and AHN Sewickley hospitals, effective Aug. 17, 2026. The network also named Keith Lorenz as chief operating officer and Joshua Miller as chief financial officer for the hospitals, which are part of the former Heritage Valley Health System footprint.
Rupert succeeds Norm Mitry, Heritage Valley's president and CEO for 25 years, who will retire at the end of the year. Mitry will remain in an advisory capacity during the transition, which follows the affiliation between Heritage Valley and AHN.
Rupert is a 25-year industry veteran who most recently served as COO of WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center. He previously spent over two decades at AHN in various leadership roles, including president of AHN Forbes and AHN West Penn hospitals. Lorenz was previously vice president of operations at UPMC Passavant, and Miller was director of finance at AHN Grove City Hospital.
