Atlantic Health, K Health Launch EHR-Integrated PatientGPT in MyChart
Atlantic Health System has partnered with K Health to launch Atlantic Health PatientGPT and Atlantic Health Virtual Primary Care, described as New Jersey's first EHR-integrated AI digital front door. The platform is embedded directly into Atlantic Health's Epic MyChart portal and uses individual patient medical records to provide personalized health guidance, according to HIT Consultant.

The AI engine converts natural language symptom inquiries into clinically grounded responses and can connect users to same-day or same-hour virtual primary care appointments. It draws on Epic EHR data such as medication lists, chronic conditions, and medical history, and transfers conversational intake data directly into the virtual care encounter so physicians do not require patients to repeat their history.
The platform is launching in an initial beta phase and will gradually roll out across Atlantic Health's 14-county service area in northern and central New Jersey, serving over 7.5 million residents. Saad Ehtisham, President and CEO of Atlantic Health, said in a statement that the best use of AI in healthcare makes care more human, not less, and that technology should strengthen patient-clinician connections and reduce barriers to care.
