The new building will house dermatology and plastic surgery services, which are relocating from other campus locations. The move will free up the Talley Building to accommodate the University of South Dakota School of Medicine’s M.D. program, allowing students to train on the Sanford campus.

According to Andy Munce, president and CEO of Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, the project supports specialty care growth and provides necessary space for the medical school. The planned facility will include 46 exam rooms, 15 treatment rooms, four procedure rooms, and shelled space for future expansion.
