Christus Santa Rosa Health System CEO Grant Wicklund to Retire
Grant Wicklund plans to retire as CEO of Christus Santa Rosa Health System in San Antonio, according to a Sept. 8, 2026, statement. Wicklund joined the Christus Health-affiliated system as CEO in 2023.
During his leadership, the system expanded Christus Santa Rosa Hospital–Westover Hills, adding 100 private patient beds and increasing capacity for obstetric, neonatal, and adult intensive care. The project also included the establishment of a comprehensive neurosciences program.
Wicklund has more than 30 years of senior healthcare leadership experience. His career included roles with Tenet Healthcare and Centura Health, as well as CEO positions at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, Kan., and Lutheran Medical Center and West Pines Behavioral Health Hospital in Westminster, Colo.
