OU Health Appoints Brent Smith as Chief Operating Officer
OU Health has named Brent Smith its new chief operating officer, according to a Sept. 8 announcement. Smith is scheduled to join the Oklahoma City-based academic health system in November.

Smith currently serves as CEO of Memorial Health System of Southwest Oklahoma. He previously held financial leadership roles with health systems in Florida and Pennsylvania.
In his new position, Smith will lead operational performance across OU Health's hospitals and clinics, focusing on quality, patient safety, access, and referral pathways. He will also have operational accountability for the Pediatric Behavioral Health Center opening in December, the Pediatric Heart Center opening in 2027, and the Stephenson Cancer Center in Tulsa slated for 2028.
