Inova Health Taps Anomaly for AI-RCM, Identifies $10.4M in Opportunities
Inova Health announced a partnership with AI payer intelligence company Anomaly Insights on Sept. 10, 2026. The collaboration is intended to improve the health system's payment outcomes and revenue management by providing data and analytics on payer behavior.

In the first 90 days of the partnership, Inova identified $10.4 million in recovered revenue opportunities, according to a press release. The health system also reported an estimated $3.8 million in ongoing monthly revenue impact.
The initiative is part of Inova's broader strategy to integrate AI into its revenue cycle and managed care operations. Erin Hodson, Inova's vice president of revenue cycle, stated that recovered funds would be reinvested in patient and community services.
Anomaly's platform analyzes claims and contracts to identify patterns, such as improper payer denials or service downcoding, to provide evidence for provider-payer negotiations.
