CHOP names Andrea DiPietro inaugural chief pharmacy officer
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia has named Andrea DiPietro, PharmD, as associate vice president and its first chief pharmacy officer, according to Becker's Hospital Review.

Amy Gallagher, CHOP's vice president of operations, said in a Sept. 14 LinkedIn post that creating the role reflects the hospital's commitment to pharmacy as a strategic driver of quality, safety, innovation and growth, Becker's reported.
DiPietro joined CHOP in September after serving at Philadelphia-based Bainbridge Health since 2022, most recently as vice president of clinical solutions and strategy at the medication safety solutions company, per her LinkedIn profile. Before Bainbridge, she spent 11 years at Wilmington, Del.-based Nemours, holding roles including clinical pharmacist, pharmacy manager, and director of pharmacy clinical operations and medication safety officer.
