Bucklew has led Hospital Council–Northern & Central California as president and CEO since 2018, where he was the lead advocate for nearly half of California hospitals before municipal and county policymakers across 50 of the state's 58 counties. He brings more than 20 years of hospital association experience to the role.
He succeeds Carmela Coyle, who is retiring after nearly a decade leading CHA. The Sacramento-based association represents nearly 400 member hospitals, health systems, networks and other care providers.
