Medical College of Wisconsin inaugurates Shekar Kurpad as seventh president and CEO
The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee inaugurated Shekar Kurpad, MD, PhD, as its seventh president and CEO on Sept. 17, according to a Sept. 18 news release cited by Becker's Hospital Review.

Kurpad has more than two decades of service at MCW, spanning the academic medical center and medical school, the release states.
He succeeds John Raymond, Sr., MD, who served as MCW's president and CEO for 16 years.
The release describes MCW as one of the nation's top-performing academic medical centers and the third-largest private medical school in the country.
