Ascension Providence names Hiram Jacob as president
Hiram Jacob has been named president of Ascension Providence in Waco, Texas, according to a Sept. 22 news release cited by Becker's Hospital Review. The appointment was reported by Becker's on Oct. 1, 2026.

Jacob most recently served as COO of Chippenham Hospital, a 466-bed tertiary care facility in Richmond, Va., where he provided executive oversight for surgical, emergency, cardiovascular, trauma and burn, oncology and neuroscience service lines.
The release said he has led planning and execution of more than $500 million in capital investments, including patient tower construction, freestanding emergency departments and operating room expansions.
Ascension Providence is part of St. Louis-based Ascension.
